Sunken Boat Leaves One Critically Injured

This evening around 5pm, Marine Units 268 & 269 along with Bowleys Quarters Marine Units 216 & 217 responded to a reported sunken vessel with a missing person, in the area of the rock jetty's at Hart Miller Island. Units arrived in the area and immediately began conducting a search with members from 268, 217 and bystanders. Within a couple minutes, the he was found underwater. He was determined to be in cardiac arrest and CPR was started. The patient was transferred out of the water onto MU217. CPR was continued and MU217 transported the patient to Bills Boats Marina where he was transferred from MU217 to Medic 6 on the pier. No other injuries were reported. Baltimore County Police, Natural Resources Police and USCG continued the investigation.
